Hand Made Gift Box

Giving a gift to someone to celebrate a special occasion or to say “thank you” can be a rewarding experience. Use decorative paper, if you’re short on time, or use white paper you can decorate yourself when you’ve got more time to spend on this project.

MATERIAL

  • Card Stock or Heavy Decorative paper
  • Different Color paper
  • Scissor
  • Ruler
  • Fevicol or glue
  • Some embellishment like ribbons, Crystals, etc.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. You can Print out this template for reference of your box cut out.
2. Cut the card in half along the fold.
3. Trim 1/8 inch or .4cm off each side of one of the pieces of paper. This is the bottom of the box. The uncut piece will make the top or lid of the box.
4. Now, make a score 1″ from the edge on all four sides.
5. Fold the card along all four score-lines. Then, score and fold the other half of the card in the same way.
6.  Now, at the shorter ends of each piece of card, you’re going to make two small cuts, where the two folds intersect.
7.  Make the cut at the both end as shown.
8.  Put a little tab of double-stick tape or Fevicol on each of the resulting flaps.
9.   Now, fold up the long sides of your box, and fold these tabs inside.
10.   Fold up end flap and press the tab and flap  to stick it in place.
11.  Make the other half of the box in the same way, and the box is complete.

You can alter the size and shape according to your need. Put on some Ribbons, Flowers, and other embellishments to make the box more prettier and fit for the occasions.
