Pot Painting


Painting a pot for your home can improve the splendor and appearance of any room. A painted pot can bring pleasure to the sick. It’s a way to express your love when you give a painted pot for a gift.

MATERIAL 
  • A Pot
  • Fevicryl  Ceramic Leading or Home-made Leading
  • Turpentine Oil or Thinner
  • Brown Oil color / Acrylic color
  • Paint Brush (Flat preferably)
  • Design and Yellow Carbon paper
  • Clear Varnish
  • Cotton Wool and Sand Paper
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Soak the pot overnight in water and let it dry next day.
  2. Scrub the surface of the pot with sand paper where design needs to be made.
  3. Place carbon paper between pot and design and trace. Correct the design if required with pencil.
  4. Put nozzle over leading tube or make cone and fill it with home-made leading. Start tracing over design on pot like henna or mehendi.
  5. Let the design dry overnight completely.
  6. Take Brown oil color and thin it using turpentine oil.
  7. Take color on cotton wool and dab it over design and let it dry again.
  8. Once dry, Paint varnish coat over the whole pot and dry it overnight.
