Painting a pot for your home can improve the splendor and appearance of any room. A painted pot can bring pleasure to the sick. It’s a way to express your love when you give a painted pot for a gift.
MATERIAL
- A Pot
- Fevicryl Ceramic Leading or Home-made Leading
- Turpentine Oil or Thinner
- Brown Oil color / Acrylic color
- Paint Brush (Flat preferably)
- Design and Yellow Carbon paper
- Clear Varnish
- Cotton Wool and Sand Paper
INSTRUCTIONS
- Soak the pot overnight in water and let it dry next day.
- Scrub the surface of the pot with sand paper where design needs to be made.
- Place carbon paper between pot and design and trace. Correct the design if required with pencil.
- Put nozzle over leading tube or make cone and fill it with home-made leading. Start tracing over design on pot like henna or mehendi.
- Let the design dry overnight completely.
- Take Brown oil color and thin it using turpentine oil.
- Take color on cotton wool and dab it over design and let it dry again.
- Once dry, Paint varnish coat over the whole pot and dry it overnight.
